Egypt 0 1 Algeria, Return of the KINGS
Egypt Algeria Return of the Kings

South Africa Here We Come!
After the sweat and even blood, courtesy of Egyptian fans, the Greens have, once again, taken their rightful place amongst the football nations qualified for the 2010 World Cup.
It has been a remarkable journey marred with hurdles such as injuries, anti-sportsmanship, shocking refereeing, shocking security measures, violence and media slanders in Egypt. But the resilience, skills, patience, qualities shown by the Algerian players paid off.
What better way to end the qualification games than with a last beating of Egypt? 1989 you say? Well, what about 2009? The greens sending the ball in the Pharaohs’net! Desert fox came on top. South Africa, Here we come! Something to be proud of.
The Greens are back thanks to the talent and resilience of the young players lead by veteran coach Rabah Saadane. This qualification to the South Africa’s World Cup is well deserved and a beautiful achievement for this new team. After the lean years, here comes the Algerian football renaissance! A renaissance possible thanks to the like of a new generation of players such as Antar Yahia, Nadir Belhadj, Yacine Bezzaz and Karim Ziani, as well as the experience of the likes of Mansouri and Rafik Saifi
123 VIVA L’ALGERIE.

Egyptian players are now afraid to go home after the defeat against Algeria .. their hooligans will throw rocks at them at the airport like they did to the Algerians…what a bunch of sore loosers….. wake up Egyptian people ….. We will never ever forget what you did to the Algerian Players. and forever the egyptians will be regarded in the eyes of the whole world as violent hooligans.. thanks to the power of the internet the whole world saw the videos and images of bloodied players and thier police that did nothing to prevent nor to stop the massacre… to top is off the president of the Egyptian federation fed the false information to all the Egyptians newspapers and they bought ( you call those journalists) I call them cheerleaders.. “National Inquirer” has more news that any Egyptian newspaper) I am sure he won’t be president of the egyptian federation for long … criminal charges (attempted murders)are to follow to both the Fifa their inability to act when they knew well how the Egyptians are at home (formal complaints from almost every team that played them in Egypt) and still choose to close their eyes. I want to thank from the bottom of my Heart the Sudanese people and their government for the warm welcome that they gave to the Algerian team and the fans and for that we will be forever grateful .. Egyptians should go to Sudan for a lesson on hospitality. Thank you “Equipe nationale” we are happy here in the USA and throughout the world the bad guys lost. THERE is a GOD

Congratulations! Vive l’Algerie! long live Al Jazair! Long live the galactic man Nadir Belhadj!!
Ta7ya eldjazair….
who laughs last, laughs better…..
I watched the match with 3 other Egyptians and 4 Algerians. We congratulated them after the match and the atmosphere was friendly although I was very sad.
Not sad because of the result, but sad because of the performance of the Egyptian players.
It was not their day at all.
Hard luck Egypt and good luck Algeria in SA.
However, these Algerian hooligans need to chill out otherwise the circumstances will not be good.
One more thing, don’t make us be shy from performance in the WC!!

I am a Nigerian. But i think that on the balance of play, the Algerians were better on the night. May be as the Italian Journalist said, they were arrogant. I read Tammin’s write up on the Egyptian blog and everything was reeking of overconfidence. They obviously believed that the real job had been done at Cairo on Saturday thinking that the Algerians would be too dispirited by that Cairo loss to put up a fight. How wrong were they? I was amazed at the sterling defensive discipline on display by the Algerians when they needed to protect their lead. Kudos and Congratulations to Algeria. As for Egypt, you had your chance in 1989,apparently it’s Algeria’s time now.Better luck next time
im tunisian..yee i live in london, all my family were watchin the match, and wallah its exactly the same as watchin tunisia play, we screamed the house down when algeria scored..soo happy 4 u , at the same time, ma heart is broken coz tunisia dint make it, but make sure you do us proud instead..tunisia is with you !!!

I am Proud to be Algerian and proud of my team we won because we were a better team .. as simple as that no ifs and no buts.. To Egypt I’ll just say good luck next time, try to pick another group and tell your close allies at the FIFA to keep you as far away from Algeria as possible…. As for us we’ll turn the page but we’ll never forget what happened (those bloodied faces of my beloved players will forever be in my head ).. I want to thank from the bottom of my heart, Our True Arab brothers Morroccans and Tunisians they were genuinely with us.. “GOD BLESS AL MAGHRAB AL ARABI” not to forget the Soudanese for their outstanding hospitality. We Will shock the world in SA these players are Special….thank you

Hey Hi there, your blog was on yahoo hot topics top 10 and i thought let me check out the website for knowledge gain and also to know why its one of the top 10 topic. Honestly speaking I never knew so much is happening regard this subject. I read the whole article on your site and i must say that me and my husband loved reading your post. We bookmarked your website for future reference. Thanks alot – Liz
Hello everybody
I’d like to congratulate all algeria for this deserved qualification. I’ve been on the satnds of Al Marikh Stadium (in arabic Al Marikh means the planet of Mars) and realy we were to Mars and back, regarding the happiness the players offered us thanks to the wonderful deserved win against egypt. I’ve returned to Algiers thursday night. I’d like to thank all the sudanese people for their warm heart and hospitality, I’ve felt that i’ve been with my brothers and sisters. Thanks Sudan! Now, we have to think about the African nations cup, we can win it, we havee a strong team. Coach Saadane have to reinforce the team, and he has to call up new players. Some substitute players proved they deserve a place in starting line up, such as the wonderful ES Setif’s goalkeeper Faouzi Chawchi, and Portsmouth’s midfielder Hassan Yebda.
Go the Greens Go!!
@Azzedine Zidane: elhamdoulilah 3ala esalama, and thank you for going to sudan to support our national team!
But I have to disagree when you say we need extra players!! Adding extra players will only lead to less cohesion between the team. The players just need more playing time together, so that in the future they can function as a team on the pitch. We just might need one extra Center Back and maybe a really good striker, some one thats worth the call up, but if they aren’t that good we are better off with our current members.
God forbid if they decide to call Medhi Lacen, that would be a grave mistake!!
I am glad that this blog is on yahoo’s top 10 list .. here to all the world it shows what the Egyptiens are good for … This video wasn’t made by Algerians but by Cote d’ivoire . They are cheaters bullies and messed with the wrong guys they got away with it in the past but the whole world is saying enough is enough egyptian cheaters..
it is scary what extent these guys can go to . poor Es sahel players
